How to get 100 points in Amatz with Heroes?
I have been trying for two hours, but simply cannot do it. I am using myself as a WE axe warrior, 2 Searing Flames/Resto eles, 1 Searing Flames/Fall Back Ele, 2 Spirit Spams (communing/Channeling), and AOTL MM, and a N/Rt healer. My highest score has been 85.
What I do is start off on one side with my eles, and flag my last four on the other side. I hold these positions for about 4 minutes, once i get around 40 points, and then start moving as a mob, because the heroes cant hold themselves past this point. One thing I noticed is the SF eles are constantly low on energy, because there generally is no time for them to stop and regen, so I think they should be replaced. Anybody have tips? I really do not want to resort to using a perma, but I guess I will have to... |

SF eles suck. Use more mesmers and necros.

I really didnt see the point in a curses necro or mesmers because the problem isnt that i am taking to much damage, its that i simply cant kill the huge amount of spawns fast enough to protect the level ten refugees. i see curses necros and mesmers as defense oriented characters that have a few offensive capabilites and are more suited for hm imo.
but i agree the sf eles need replacing. i just cant figure out with what. |

Mo/any RoJ Smitin Hybridn heroes or something? Its difficult because in reality a 5/3 or 4/4 split with a spirit spammer, Nec hybrid, SS and MM - all with protective/healing/utility skills, should be able to sort this out for you. As you said at a certain point you have to start running as a mob, but if the heroes have enough utility then they should be able to look after themselves, and thereby make your life easier I dunno just something to think about
edit: Dont think I made myself clear, and SS, MM, Nec/RT healer and a Spirit Spammer on one side, with a Spirit Spammer and whatever else on the otherside Last edited by alberte06; Apr 07, 2011 at 05:10 PM // 17:10.. |

I forgot when exactly the permasin got nerfed, but here are a couple threads from last year, and the year before:
Amatz Basin Challenge Amatz Basin Amatz Basin H/H They don't exactly answer your question, but maybe they can help spark some ideas. It appears some form of perma tank is needed to make it easier. I also need to complete this to raise the Kurz cap; I just never got around to it. |

The only way I was ever able to do it was to go in with other players, where one guy just tanked the middle and let the kurzik guys just run past. I was on the left with my paragon and a couple heroes and the other guys was on the right. You need the dudes from all 3 portals to be getting to the goal to get a decent score, having a guys tank damage on one or more sides so 100% of them get though just helps the other sides way to much.
